Two stages, five capitals and awards on LinkedIn
End-to-end delivery of SAP's kick-off events for employees and partners, and the online Quality Awards

SAP is one of the largest technology companies in the world, organised into market units. One of them is SAP Central and Eastern Europe, which since 2022 has also included several countries in Western and Central Asia. When our team could still be counted on the fingers of one hand, the unit asked us to turn its dull annual reports into short video stories.
Today we deliver two live events for the unit every year, the Customer Success Kick-off for employees and the Partner Kick-off for business partners, plus the online Quality Awards. From the creative idea to the last sound effect in the hall.
In numbers
- 5
- Capitals: Vienna, Budapest, Bratislava, Zagreb and Belgrade.
- 2
- Live events every year: one for employees, one for partners.
- ~450
- Attendees from across the market unit at the Customer Success Kick-off in Zagreb.
- 6
- Editions of the online Quality Awards, each running six to twelve months.
The common thread
One idea a year that works on stage, in video stories, in print and in an app in every attendee's hands.
Two events, one concept
The Customer Success Kick-off is a multi-day internal event for sales and marketing: SAP presents last year's results and next year's strategy, shares best practice and gives awards to its most successful people and teams. A month or two later comes the Partner Kick-off for business partners, who generate a substantial share of revenue by selling SAP software.
Because the content is similar, we carry the concept and content of the internal event over to the external one. The client gets two events with one look, without paying twice for the same work.
How one event becomes two
- An internal event for sales and marketing
- Results, strategy, best practice and awards
- A new creative idea and all-new content every year
- Venues include Budapest
- An external event for business partners
- A month or two later, with awards for the top partners
- The same concept and content, adapted for partners
- Venues include Belgrade
Customer Success Kick-off: a mission through space and time
For the Customer Success Kick-off in Zagreb, attended by around 450 employees, we built the overarching concept on Einstein's theory of relativity. A month before the event, attendees received an invitation to a three-day mission: on expeditions to different places in space and time they gathered confidential business intelligence to help them master the challenges ahead.
We carried the concept through every format. Each part of the programme opened with animated titles that moved the story forward and introduced what was coming. Then came print and graphics, the host's linking script and the scripts for every video story, including the nominee and winner announcements at the awards ceremony.
Partner Kick-off: same stage, new audience
At the 2023 Partner Kick-off in Bratislava we carried over the internal event's concept, which celebrated the cultural range of the market unit. That way the newly joined Asian countries could see themselves in the room too.
Here, too, we created the opening titles for each part, the animations for the awards to the top partners and the copy for the app, and led the technical team on site. After the event we produced a reportage video story that the client's team and attendees shared on LinkedIn.
Everything except logistics and catering
At both events we take care of the whole delivery, from the idea and pre-event activities to running the hall. Transport, accommodation and food we leave to others.
What we do
One overarching concept a year that ties the whole event together.
We come up with the creative idea and see it through to the last detail: from the invitation and graphics to the opening titles, copy and sound in the hall.
The event starts before the doors open.
Invitations and the first posts build anticipation. We draw up the rundown of the whole programme and align it with the client and the speakers.
The app is the main channel between the organiser and the attendees.
We set up the Eventee event app, fill it with content and activations and run it during the event: push notifications about sessions, transport, meals and changes, a social wall, and short quizzes whose results appear live on stage with the host's commentary.
Every talk is rehearsed before it goes on stage.
We write the speakers' texts and the host's linking script, edit the presentations and rehearse with the speakers on stage.
Everything that moves and sounds in the hall.
Animated opening titles for every part, award animations, nominee and winner announcements, and every sound effect in the hall.
Technology, crew and coordination in one place.
We provide the technical equipment and the full production, lead the technical crew on site and coordinate the event.

Quality Awards: an awards ceremony that lives on LinkedIn
Every year SAP honours the customers who implemented its solutions the fastest, most efficiently or most inventively. We first ran the awards during the COVID-19 pandemic, when an in-person ceremony was impossible. At the same time, the client wanted to move away from classic ceremonies with certificates that mean little to the winners.
We asked ourselves two questions: how to give the winners a first-class experience without a virtual event, and what award would actually be useful to them. The answer was two video series on LinkedIn. The first reveals the nominees in every category, the second tells the story of the winning project in each category. Each edition gets its own creative look, based on that year's theme.
One edition, four formats
-
Host announcements
Before the releases, we record the hosts of the online event announcing what is coming, to build interest.
-
Nominees
The first video series reveals the nominees in each category.
-
Winners
The second series presents each winning project as a video case study.
-
Posts
Static creatives and copy for social media posts.
A new look every year
What changes
- A certificate that ends up in a drawer
- Seen by the people in the room
- One evening
- Ends when the event ends
- A video story about the project that the winner shares
- Seen by the business community across the region
- Two series of posts on LinkedIn
- The video stories live on in presentations and best-practice sharing
The result
A collaboration that began with video stories from annual reports is now end-to-end event delivery for one of the largest technology companies in the world: four consecutive Customer Success Kick-offs, events in five capitals and a new idea every year.
The Quality Awards reached far beyond the room. The posts were shared by the client, its partners and customers, even by nominees who did not win. The client kept the format after the pandemic and uses the video stories about the winning projects for internal best-practice sharing and for presenting its solutions.
